Emerging from Mid-Missouri in 2004, Decadent Nation quickly developed their talent for packaging socio-political messages into their own style of high-energy hard rock. Having established a solid fan base, Decadent Nation is looking forward to taking their pulsating live performance on the road. The band takes a lot out of their live shows, and their main goal is to instill that same release in the people who listen to their music.

Just over a year ago, a young musician from Columbia invited five of his friends to play in a band with him for a high school battle of the bands. Even inside the group, there was doubt this new sound would work. After winning the competition and ten free hours of recording at Bridge Studio in Jamestown, the band realized their eclectic combination of instruments (from trumpets and accordions to electric violins and ukuleles) and personal music backgrounds created an exciting new groove. After winning the Battle of the Bands held in their own town, the band utilized the summer months that followed to dive head first into their first album, “Ceiling Light Yogurt”.
